School Delays

Students may come to school at the regular time and be cared for any time there is a 1 or 2 hour delay.

School Drop-Off in the Mornings

Parents are encouraged to drop kids off at the school entrance in the mornings. We have car greeters to assist your child out of the car and into the school.

Afternoon Pick-Up

Parents will be asked to sign up and have their children attend afterschool after 2:50. Our teachers are in meetings and planning for the next school day.

Carolina West School Rebate Program

Our school can earn a 3 % cashrebate on all participating members local monthly service fee* - every month! A form will be available in the front office for you to pickup and complete. You may also visit www.carolinawest.com and click on the link for the School Rebate Form to fill out online.

Twice a year, Target Stores donate up to 1 % of purchases made using the REDcard to eligible schools. It doesn't cost anything to signup for the program - just designate Newland

Elementary to receive the funds in one of three ways.

Clip Box Tops from your favorite General Mills products and send them in school with your child. Each Box Top is worth 10 cents. Last year, NES made $600.00 from our BOX TOPS!

Our school will be participating in Box Tops for Education again this year. There are two main ways you can help earn money for Newland Elementary through Box Tops.
1. Box Tops coupons: Clip coupons from participating brands and send them to school. We receive cash for the Box Tops collected. (Each homeroom will have a collection box.)
2. Box Tops Marketplace: Sign up for Box Tops online at boxtops4education.com . Every new school supporter that signs up gives our school a chance to win $1000! Plus, registering gives you more opportunities to earn money for our school. NES receives a donation from all qualifying purchases made through the Marketplace. (Participating stores include Lands End, JC Penney and many others.) Just remember to start every online shopping trip at the Marketplace so that our school gets the donation. It does not cost you anything extra! Registering also gives you access to coupons for Box Tops products.

Check the Box Tops website monthly for new money saving coupons.Boxtops for Education are found on many regular many cereals and other regular grocery items. We get $0.10 for everyone turned in--we raised over $600 last year with boxtops--we're setting a goal for $1000 this year.

Each month there will be a contest to see which homeroom brings in the most Box Tops. The winning homeroom will be rewarded. (Prizes will be announced at the beginning of each month.) There will be other contests through out the year. Watch your newsletters and check the school website to stay updated on current contests.
